You will need:

• black cloth
• a bowl of spring water
• one white candle
• an appropriate incense

On a table in front of you, lay out the black cloth. Place the bowl, filled to the brim with spring water on the cloth. To the left of the bowl, place the white candle, and light it. This should be the only light in the room. To the right of the bowl, burn the incense. Sandalwood, frankincense or jasmine are best. Cast your circle and become calm and centered. Close your eyes and take two of three deep breaths. In your mind, see the faces of the possible spouses in front of you, keeping your eyes closed. Chant:

"Scry, scry, scry for me.
Bring the face that I must see.
Let me gaze on my future mate,
To know which lover will be my fate."

Try to clear your mind of everything so that when you open your eyes, and gaze down into the water, you will be able to accept anything that appears there. After your mind is clear, open your eyes and gaze into the water. You will see the face of the one who is to become your spouse. This spell should be cast on the night of the full Moon.
