Day and Night are once again equally balanced. The passion of Summer transforms into the quiet Winter months. The Sun begins to descend from His reign, and so we are reminded of the Cycle of Life, Death, and Reincarnation. Autumn Equinox is the second harvest celebration. The harvest is now complete, and now is a time to realize happiness, sadness, and change. We feel the loss of the passing of our crops, but feel the rapture of a bountiful harvest, aware that our Mother will be reborn again.

Mabon, the Son of Light, is in a place of new life, renewal, and restoration. He takes the nurturing challenges he faces in the Otherworld to prepare himself for his rebirth. Just as Autumn helps the seeds of nature to hibernate, they will bring forth new life.

Gather your experiences from the past year, and learn from them. Make those lessons a part of yourself. Be careful not to live in it, only learn from it. Remember that there is no future in the past.
