Occurs: around June 21st The Sun is at its strongest point today. This is the longest day of the year, if you exclude the first day back at work after a long weekend or holiday. Daylight hours begin to lessen, as the Sun begins its transition into the harvest season. As the year begins to wane, we honor all the nature around us as it flourishes. The playfulness of Beltane has blossomed into passion. The Summer Solstice fire is traditionally kindled from fir and oak, two sacred woods, and nine different herbs are thrown upon it.
Among these 5 herbs, there are another 4 that you must chose. Select herbs that are typical of this season. In the Olde Days, the burning of these herbs was thought to purge a body of illnesses. Today is a perfect day to reflect upon your passions, because only through understanding them and recognizing them can we use them for a greater good. This can intensify your creativity, being, and love, and acknowledgment and aware steps of action can bring you to a greater bounty of life. Experiencing the magnitude of our passions can be a truly powerful thing. Experiencing that power with awareness will help you grow stronger in your majick. Take the time to revell in the powerful majick of our Lady's nature. The beauty she brings to the world for all to see. Both within the world we all live in, and within yourself.
