There are a number of tools that are used frequently in the Craft, and therefore, must be dedicated into service, or made to be sacred. These tools, sometimes called weapons of the art, usually include:

• athame
• boline
• chalice
• Water
• salt
• pentacle
• cauldron

While each tool can be consecrated in different ways, there are some similarities to each kind of consecration. It is best for you to write your own consecration rituals, but you may want to read through the examples I'm providing to get a good outline for your own works.

There is a subtle difference between consecrating a tool and enchanting an object. Objects may include talismans, stones, candles and small things of that nature. (If a witch consecrated ever candle they were ever going to use, they wouldn't have time to do anything else!) For these types of items, there is a method on how to enchant an object.
